Choir Director Bryan Horn has issued a plea for more voices in the choir. Choir practice cannot resume unless more people join the choir. Please pray for the choir.

Pulpit Fill
On Sunday, August 3rd, Mike Sulen, pastor of the Mineola 7th Day Adventist Church, will fill the pulpit while Pastor Jim is at the World Convention of the Churches of Christ in Nashville. Gwen Stirman will lead the 8:30 service and David Walls will conduct that night's Bible Study.
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Well maybe if enough people are interested in seeing a Texas Rangers game on August 19th at 7 p.m. With a minimum of 35 tickets we will be able to take a bus to the game and have good seating for $45.00 per person. We can invite people outside the church but we need a good core group from FCC. If you are interested, sign the sheet on the bulletin board. This has a short fuse so sign up as soon as possible!
Help a Cancer Patient
Road to Recovery, an American Cancer Society program, needs kind people to volunteer their time and the use of their own cars to drive patients to and from appointments. Schedules are flexible. For information call 903-597-1383 or 1-800-227-2345.

SENIOR ACTIVITY EVENT
Please reserve October 6 to October 10 (Monday through Friday) as a Senior Activity outing. We are looking at De Gray Lake in Arkansas as the most likely place. De Gray Lake is only a short distance from Hot Springs and provides a state lodge and camping facilities. Activities for those who want to participate will include golf, shopping, tours, games, water activities, spa, dining on a riverboat and entertainment. ~Ken & Charlotte Cue
